That became a Forest
Furnas Lake Forest Living represents a project of 25 years of forest rehabilitation of all the surrounding area of the houses. We transformed a pasture area into a forest, protecting the soil and, consequently, Furnas Lake’s water. Time passed by and plants grew bigger and bigger, turning our surroundings into a beautiful grown-up forest.
To nurture nature
We created a vegetable garden, near our kitchen, that feeds our restaurant with aromatic herbs, eatable flowers, spices, vegetables and fruit and can be used in breakfast, dinner, and even in drinks from the bar. This garden attracts a great diversity of species, like butterflies, birds and, finally, bees, that transform pollen and nectar into our delicious honey.
That is full of experiences
In the Forest, you can appreciate nature at its best, by walking through our gardens, or visiting our animals, like horses and cows, goats, chickens and rabbits.You can choose to stay out and just relax and read a book, listen to bird sounds, or do absolutely nothing.
